Mascot Design Concept

Building upon the iconic Red-Faced Duck mascot originally created for the 109th National Games, the design has been reimagined through transformation and renewal. The vibrant, patterned headscarf symbolizes unity and blessings, reflecting the region’s rich cultural heritage.

The mascot’s life jacket and paddle-in-hand pose visually embody the core spirit of dragon boat racing, representing teamwork, determination, and the drive to move forward. The competition emblem displayed on the left chest signifies international exchange and the passing on of honor, allowing the Red-Faced Duck to stand not only as a symbol of the event, but also as a friendly tourism ambassador connecting Hualien to the world.
